Clearec offers Mixx Mobile for OEM licensing either "as is" or by customization of the application. We further offer licensing of the individual algorithms for improving the quality of sound playback on mobile devices.

Mixx Mobile is a well tested audio editing application for Windows Mobile devices. It offers the user an easy and professional way for creating audio content and ringtones on their mobile device. To the OEM manufacturer, it is a necessary and sufficient way to offer fun and useful software for the enduser.

Mixx Mobile offers several possibilities for customization. For any interested OEM manufacturer, we provide an application for easy cutomization of Mixx Mobile GUI skins. This way, your own design department can make the customization and simply give us the resulting skin. You get the design you want without much effort.

Algorithms and Library

The algorithms used in Mixx Mobile are available for licensing standalone in a portable (C++) library for platforms like Windows XP, Windows Mobile and Symbian. Porting to other platforms is also possible.

The library contains all necessary functionality for audio coding, editing, mixing and playback. The library was specificly designed for use on mobile devices with reduced memory and power consumption. All algorithms are optimized and have a very low footprint.

Beyond the extensive library functionality, the highlights of our audio algorithms are:

ubassThe Bass Maximization algorithm µBass improves the sound experience on mobile devices by creating a virtual bass feeling. Due to the extremely small loudspeakers in mobile devices, it is not possible to reproduce low frequency content with high quality in the normal way. The µBass algorithm creates harmonics of the missing frequencies for creating a psycho-acoustic equivalent bass feeling.

uhall

The Artificial Reverb algorithm µHall creates a room feeling with low footprint. The mobile devices of tomorrow have a built in audio playback and replace the MP3 players as we know them today. Normal CD and MP3 songs are optimized for stereo loudspeaker playback and the same music sounds very dry and on headphones, which is more common for mobile entertainment. The uHall algorithm significantly improves the listener experience for headphone listening by moving the sound image out of the head.

utime

The Time Stretch algorithm µTime is optimized for mobile devices and offers a good quality time modification at a very low complexity. The business person of today needs to use his time efficiently. When listening to podcasts or news, this would ideally mean increasing the playback speed. With µTime it is possible to speedup a podcast by 25-50% without loosing significant information, and that anywhere on his mobile device.
